Super World Indie Tune Of The Day: There will be blood.

Super World Indie Tune Of The Day 01.10.2019: Freddie Dickson – “Blood Street”.

Dark, intense and bluesy with some nice changes in tempo and sympatico backing vocals, Freddie evokes deep feelings of longing, loss, regret and desire for a change with “Blood Street”, the first single from the LP of the same name to be released on the 4th of October.

Freddie Dickson states about Blood Street “This song is the title track of the album and was written at a time when I felt that London citizens had become neglected by those in a position of power at times of need. The people had each other but the lack of investment in less privileged areas had become deeply exposed. The song asks the hierarchy to place themselves in the shoes of these communities before making any decisions and to consider their actions based on a more humanitarian level. I chose ‘Blood Street’ as the title for the album as I did the majority of the writing of the record in London before I moved to Berlin and felt this song symbolised my desire for a fresh start away from my hometown.”

Myself and ALL the people here at SWIT couldn’t agree more and hope all is going well in Berlin Freddie.
