We’ve been waiting a long time for new music from SWIT favourite Eefje de Visser. Her 2016 LP “Nachtlicht” is a modern-day classic and “Staan” from the album was in our Top 10 tracks. So, I’m really delighted to report that “Zwarte Zon” does not disappoint. The sound has moved on, as you would expect, it’s a strikingly modern tune, there’s a hypnotic keyboard motif running through the song that draws you in. It’s languid, dark and arresting. The mood is beautifully reflected in the mysterious, half-lit red lantern video. The song demands repeated listens and is an optimistic postcard from her new album which will be out early 2020. Class.
