Pastis – Around Here. Super World Indie Tune Of The Day – 07.02.2019
Speaking of drinks, “Around Here” by Pastis also puts me in mind of an ‘Old Fashioned”. Now, not old-fashioned in any derogatory sense of the word, rather in that it’s chock full of the ingredients that make for a classic indie-rock tune. Booming chorus, check. Bright, jangling, primary-color guitars, check. Driving, catchy-as-fuck melody, check. Heck, there’s even a touch of Buddy Holly in there too. This is the third (how did I miss the first two?) single from the Finnish band’s debut LP ‘Circles’ which is released tomorrow (8th February).
