Lake Jons – Tom. Super World Indie Tune Of The Day – 25.01.2019
To be honest I could just strip out the delightful melody and nagging piano motif from “Tom” and listen to it all day. Add in the layered vocals and lolloping (not a word you hear every day) rhythm and you’ve got something very special indeed. I love the changes in texture, pace and ambiance throughout, pretty impressive in a 3-minute pop tune, it just leaves you wanting more of this deliciously different track. Out now on Playground Music Finland.
Lake Jons, are a Finnish folk-indie band “born from the woods by the darkest waters, from where the band got their name.” That’s deep, the lake I mean.
