I had been feeling feverish all day and was trying to get in touch with my physician Dr. Love but there was something wrong with my phone, I couldn’t even get a dial tone, it was definitely a dead ringer for Love.
Just then Gerry wandered into the office and said: “I really love this Meat Loaf cover that friend-of SWIT Dom Fricot has just released.”
“You took the words right out of my mouth.” I replied.
“I admire the way he has stripped it back to the essential melody and has not done it in an ironic way at all. Of course, he will never look as good as Meat”, he elaborated.
“Two out of three ain’t bad.” I ventured.
“The first three-quarters of a minute is great”, he continued, “in fact, it’s 45 seconds of ecstasy.”
“I couldn’t have said it better.” I hinted. “Just looking at you in this light Gerry, you are one hot patootie, get over here you hunk, a kiss is a terrible thing to waste.”
“I’d do anything for SWIT but I won’t do that” he screeched and with that, he was gone, gone like a bat out of hell.
