Orouni – Somewhere In Dreamland

Orouni holds a special place in our hearts here at SWIT. We went (pea)nuts for his last LP – the wonderful musical travelogue, “Grand Tour”. Rémi Antoni writes clever, observation, highly original pop tunes (with the emphasis on “tune”), his music is painted in bright colours. I was excited to hear that Orouni will be delivering a new album next year, in the meantime I have been enjoying “Somewhere In Dreamland”, a new EP consisting of 4 songs from “Grand Tour”, re-recorded with vocals by his long-time collaborator, Anglo-French singer Emma Broughton, who adds a warm, enchanting glow to the compositions. As always with Orouni, listening is a complete pleasure. The EP is released on Les Disques Pavillon. We’ve added “Uca Pugilator” to our playlist, but really it could have been any of the songs.
