Somehow – While the Days Go By

Coming on a bit like a Joy Division song written with a raised eyebrow and a sardonic smile, this is “While The Days Go By”. Paris-based Erwan Pépiot and Aurélie Tremblay pull the sun up into the grey Mancunian sky. This is a cracking tune, love the keyboard riff in the background. The song is from Erwin’s new LP “Hidden Memories”, he wrote, recorded and mixed the entire project on his own in his home-studio. I’ve just started dipping in for a listen and so far loving what I hear. The video is great too, where nothing much happens but in a rather stylish and very meaningful way. Young love and ennui innit. The LP is released on Toolong Records, well, this record certainly isn’t too long.
