SUPERBEAT – Outshining

SUPERBEAT are a five-piece alternative rock band from the strands of Oulu, Finland. ‘Outshining’ is the first single from their upcoming debut album.

Joonas from the band says “Outshining is a song about the apocalypse as well as getting frustrated at interior design trends and avocado toasts. Due to juxtaposing such issues there’s, surely, great self-irony in the lyrics.”

Frankly, we don’t hold any truck with avocados around here, the only way one would get in is if we mistook it for a hand grenade. And the editor’s vomit on the wallpaper after last year’s Christmas party is as close we come to interior design. Anyway, Outshining is barely-controlled hysteria, noisome guitars, ominous whispers and it all slides into a frenetic crescendo which is beautiful and sorta terrifying at the same time. Farrow and Ball? Farrow and Bollocks. Rock on.
