Löis Lancaster – Ornitofrenia
Looking for something different, daring and downright brilliant this morning? Well let me tell you , you’ve come to the right place. Ornitophrenia (meaning “bird spirit”) is the lead single from Löis Lancaster’s album Malva and is a collboration with Felipe Zenicola.
Lois is a veteran of the Brazilian experimental music scene. “Malva” is a tribute to the 80’s aesthetic of goth and synth-pop (our favourite), as well as to Francis Bacon’s triptychs and Hitchcock’s “The Birds”.
Here’s the thing – it’s composed almost entirely on the Bohlen-Pierce scale, which has no octaves and only uses odd harmonics. Far out.
Malva will be release on April 10, 2017 by Sê-lo! Netlabel.
