The Week 13112016

Hi, welcome to SWIT’s Week,  I’m a day late due to Gerry banishing me to Monaghan, but I have returned, climbed through an open window and I manged to put this together before he caught me. Well what a strange week it’s been,  with the sad passing  of Field Commander Cohen – some say it was the election of Donald J Trumpet that finished him off, I guess we’ll never know. I wonder what the J stands for ? any ideas? But you know through it all you got the music and what great music there’s been, a bumper edition in fact – so wrap your troubles in dreams and check out  the best new global indie  tunes – Her Little Donkey, Friends Of Gas, Near Myth, Belly Belt, Lessons, Leonard Cohen, Zabrocki, Magana,  Awir Leon, Lost Tapes, It’s Not Not, Nunofyrbeeswax, J Alan Schneider, Cómo Vivir En El Campo,  Keshevara and The Mary Onettes.

What could possibly go wrong with live from Ladytron?

We were deligted to land another interview with the very brilliant Markus Acher!

Angela Aux told us about his love of Andy Shauf and Mac DeMarco via this excellent interview we published earlier in the year.

Our Long Player of the week is this future electronic classic, “Scene Missing” by Sundayman.

Finally, our latest work of art to be added to our Gallery Of Galleries is this astonishing spray paint job by  Pamela Hute!

Who loves ya baby?
